2004 De Bortoli Windy Peak Spatlese Riesling

This wine starts off brilliantly. Bright straw colour with pale straw hue. Lifted note of spice and tropical fruit, followed by a honeycomb end note, creating an exotic sniff. The palate is the let down, being relatively short with a touch of tropical fruit and a hint of residual sweetness emerging. Simple, tropical fruit aftertaste, with soft acid finish.
