$1188.00 Dozen
Cellar: 8 - 10 Years (2014-2016)
ABV: 14.5%

An excellent example of Hickinbotham Syrah but without the force that characterised the 2003 wine.  Opaque black purple colour with black purple hue.  The nose delivers the kind of intensity of aroma that one has come to associate with the Hickinbotham Vineyard wines.  Superb top notes of violets followed by lifted perfumed notes of blackcurrant, blackberry and spice.  Excellent weight and depth showing concentrated flavours of blackberry and stewed plum followed by black pepper and spice.  Fine, dry tannins which are in balance with the fruit.  Very long aftertaste of plum and blackberry.
Cellar 8-10 years (2014-2016)
Alc/Vol: 14.5%

Robert Parkers Review:
The dense ruby/purple-tinged 2004 Syrah Hickinbotham Vineyard is made in a firm, muscular, meaty style with plenty of cassis, roasted herb, asphalt, and subtle oak characteristics. This powerful, macho-styled offering requires 1-2 years of cellaring, and should age for two decades.
