2004 Clarendon Hills Brookman Merlot

Clarendon, South Australia, AUSTRALIA
$69. 99
Bottle
$839.88 Dozen
Cellar: 5 - 8 Years (2011-2014)
ABV: 14.6%
Closure: Cork

Opaque black crimson colour with dark brick red hue.  The nose reveals a touch of mint followed by cedar and cigar box with a confectionary end note.  Again the palate is lighter than the 2003, with flavours of cedar and cigar box dominant.  Fine, chalky tannins which persist into the aftertaste followed by cedar and cigar box characteristics.
Cellar 5-8 years (2011-2014)
Alc/Vol: 14.6%

Robert Parkers Review:
The 2004 Merlot Brookman Vineyard is a concentrated, 100% Merlot offering scents of sweet berry fruit and coffee bean as well as a thick, rich, medium to full-bodied, powerful palate with wonderful precision and elegance. I rarely enjoy Australian Merlot, but Clarendon Hills makes me sit up and take notice.
