2004 Clarendon Hills Bakers Gully Vineyard Syrah

Very deep crimson colour with deep crimson hue.  Lifted nose of spice, plum and violets creating a perfumed sniff.  The palate has good length with fine grained tannin structure.  Flavours of plum, spice and blackberry emerge followed by a white pepper back palate.  The tannins are more persistent than those of the 2003 and run into the aftertaste.  Stewed plum, blackberry and white pepper appear on the aftertaste.
