2004 Churchview Estate The Bartondale Reserve Chardonnay

Winemaker Paul Green has matured this Chardonnay in French oak for 12 months. The wine has been put through partial malolactic fermentation. Bright gold colour showing deep straw hue. Aroma of hazelnut, toasted oak, yeast lees and cashew showing good barrel ferment character. Creamy palate texture with citrus flavours followed by yeast lees, grapefruit and green tea. Modest palate length with the acidity remaining fresh. Aftertaste of yeast lees and citrus.
