2004 Carlei Estate Sud Shiraz

Carlei has produced two Heathcote Shiraz wines from the 2004 vintage, one from the southern end of the Heathcote district and the other from the top end (Nord)

Opaque black brick red colour with brick red hue showing advanced colour. Top note of plums, followed by raisin cake, dark chocolate and spice. The palate flavours are developed with plum, spice and stewed fruit over a dark chocolate background. Layers of cedar, spice and leather appear and are supported by soft tannins. Aftertaste of spice and black pepper.
