This 60 hectare vineyard was planted in 1981 by Noel & Heather Smith. Three clones of Sangiovese have been used in producing this wine. Youthful mauve purple colour. Medium body. Delightful nose showing very good varietal character. Aroma of cherry, spice and cloves. The palate reveals flavours of cherry, spice and cloves over a liquorice back palate, with hints of ink. Fine grained tannin, with aftertaste of spice, cherry ripe and liquorice.
