2004 Cape Mentelle Shiraz

Opaque black crimson colour with black purple hue. Superb, lifted nose with violet top notes followed by liquorice allsorts, confectionary and blackberry. The palate has excellent weight and mouthfeel, carefully balanced by flavours of violet infusions, liquorice allsorts, black pepper and spice. On the back palate, flavours of vanilla, confectionary and black pepper appear. Aftertaste of confectionary and black pepper. Cellar 3-4 years (2009-2010)
