2004 Brand's of Coonawarra Merlot

A Merlot with strong varietal character. Opaque black purple colour with deep black purple hue. The nose is impressive with lifted top notes of mulberry followed by cassis, cedar and violets. There is a touch of mocha on the palate followed by some raspberry and confectionary overlaid with spice, mulberry and cedar. Excellent weight and mouthfeel. Perfect balance. Long aftertaste of spice, mulberry and liquorice.
