A superb Frank Potts

The wine is composed of 67% Cabernet Sauvignon, 18% Malbec and 15% Petit Verdot. Spectacular colour – black purple with paint like cling to the walls of the glass. Aroma of mocha, cigar box, cedar and blackcurrant – with the Cabernet being predominant. Mouthfilling palate, with excellent weight and length. Flavours of mocha, blackcurrant, cassis and cedar are overlaid by a touch of cigar box, providing a generous flavour profile. Fine grained tannins – perfectly balanced. Very long aftertaste of blackcurrant, toasted oak and cedar.
Cellar 4-5 years (2010-2011)
Alc/Vol:14.5%

Other reviews...
The 2004 Frank Potts Proprietary Red is a blend of 67% Cabernet Sauvignon, 18% Malbec, and 15% Petit Verdot. This cuvee spent 18 months in French and American wood, which is evident in the noticeable wood component. Nevertheless, it is an outstanding effort displaying notions of soy, vanillin, black currants, mint, and blackberries in its rich, full-bodied, tannic personality. It should last 10-12 years at a minimum.
90 points.
