2004 Bidgeebong Gundagai Shiraz

Almost opaque black crimson colour with black crimson hue. Aroma of blackberry and plum followed by vanilla, liquorice and spice. The fruit appears to be subdued at this stage. Fine, dry and chalky tannins. Liquorice, plum and spice flavours emerge on the palate with plum and stewed fruit aftertaste.

First Tasted: 17/03/2006 This is an old fashioned Hunter Valley style red, with a generous dose of ‘sweaty saddle.’ Opaque black purple colour with black purple hue. Aroma of new leather and stewed plum followed by spice and blackberry. The palate emphasizes the ‘sweaty saddle’ character, with flavours of leather and plum emerging. Fine grained tannins. Aftertaste of leather and plum.
