2004 Beelgara Estate Sun Dried Old Vine Shiraz

The Shiraz grapes for this wine were picked and then left on mats for 3 days to allow the grapes to dehydrate and pick up concentration. The wine has been matured for 12 months in French and American oak.
Bright crimson colour with crimson hue. Medium body. Semi translucent. Restrained nose with hints of plum, vanilla and spice. The palate reveals flavours of stewed fruit, followed by mocha and coffee back palate. Dry tannins. Aftertaste of spice and chicory.
