Made from 100% Barossa Shiraz this sparkling red is aged in equal portions of French and American oak of which 30% is new. The wine is then blended and aged for an additional twelve months in old French oak barrels prior to bottling. From there the wine goes through bottled fermentation, aged on lees for a minimum of twelve months before being riddled, disgorged and topped with liqueur.
Purple mauve mousse showing very good hold with very fine persistent bead and deep dark red base colour. Aromas of blackberry, spice, dark plum and a touch of mocha. Very full bodied and rich the palate displays flavours of super ripe blackberry, dark chocolate, liquorice, dark plum and spice with a creamy texture. Outstanding concentration and depth with long aftertaste of blackberry, dark chocolate, liquorice and spice.
Drink over the next 4-5 years.
