A complex Chardonnay was expected but not developed. This wine has been matured in French oak barriques for 9 months, with fortnightly lees stirring, as well as having a partial fermentation on wild yeast.
Bright deep straw colour with pale straw hue, showing barrel ferment character. Aroma of yeast lees, cashew and biscuit followed by a hint of hazelnut as an end note. Creamy palate texture. Soft acid finish. Aftertaste of spice, yeast lees and citrus.
