2004 Anakena Ona Syrah

Very deep, almost opaque black crimson colour with deep purple mauve hue. Top note of violet followed by liquorice and spice delivering a perfumed sniff. The palate reveals flavours of blackberry, liquorice and plum, supported by fine grained tannins, dry but in balance. Made in the French style, this is quite a tight wine. Aftertaste of stewed plum and spice.
