2003 Yering Station Reserve Shiraz Viognier

A Classic example of the blend, requiring some time to fully integrate. The wine is opaque, with black crimson purple colour and deep crimson mauve hue. The nose is lifted, with a distinct dried apricot top note which permeates all the way through the palate, followed by notes of violets, blackberry, spice and plum. The palate is full bodied with very fine, very dry tannic backbone which is supported by flavours of white pepper, apricot, blackberry and liquorice. The wine is very youthful and needs time to reveal itself.
