A good quaffer. Brick red colour with brick red hue. Medium body. Aroma of blackcurrant, cedar and spice, with a hint of tea leaf following. Straightforward blackcurrant palate flavours. Fine grained tannins. Aftertaste of blackcurrant and cedar.

First tasted, May 2005:
Very deep crimson colour with deep crimson hue. Aroma of stewed fruit, spice and just a hint of violets, followed by a delicate tea leaf characteristic. Simple palate flavours with ripe plum and liquorice. Fine dry tannins. Plum, spice and liquorice aftertaste.
