2003 Watershed Shades Cabernet Sauvignon Shiraz Merlot Cabernet Franc

Watershed Wines is a listed public company located in the dress circle of Margaret River with approximately seventy eight hectares under vine. The buildings and vineyard are very impressive and in no small way due to the talents of Watershed's Coonawarra consultant, JOHN WADE. Wade was the winemaker who created the Wynns John Riddoch wines and later moved to Margaret River to make some astonishing wines for Howard Park.

An impressive blend. Very deep, almost opaque black crimson colour with purple hue. Aroma of spice, blackcurrant, black pepper and liquorice. The palate is generous and filled with ripe Cabernet characters. Flavours of spice, blackberry, mulberry, liquorice and plum emerge showing good complexity. Fine dry tannins, balanced with aftertaste of blackcurrant and black pepper.
