This wine is developing beautifully. Matured in French oak, the colour is almost opaque, black crimson colour with black crimson hue. Perfumed nose of spice, blackcurrant and violets. Mouthfilling palate with blackcurrant and liquorice flavours, followed by cassis and cedar. Fine grained, dryish tannins which persist but are balanced. Toasted, smoky oak layers in the background, followed by an aftertaste of cedar, cassis and liquorice allsorts.

First Tasted, October 2006: A ripe Cabernet. Very deep crimson colour with deep crimson, brick red hue. Aroma of stewed plum, cassis, spice and cedar, displaying ripe Cabernet fruit. On the palate, flavours of chocolate and plum are followed by confectionary and stewed fruit. Fine, quite dry and chalky tannins which run into the aftertaste. Aftertaste of stewed fruit, chocolate and confectionary.
