2003 Taylors Merlot

A Merlot that has been apparently highly regarded by the Chief Judge of the Tattersalls Wine Club, however, we found it to lack varietal precision. Deep crimson colour with mauve hue. Aromas of spice and stewed fruit followed by a hint of plum. The palate flavour profile is simple, with flavours of spice plum and black pepper emerging, followed by a hint of liquorice. Fine dry tannins. Aftertaste of spice and plum.
