ANOTHER OUTSTANDING DISCOVERY FROM HEATHCOTE...

There is no doubt that Heathcote is the ‘hottest new winemaking area’ in Australia – and we don’t mean temperature wise. The Shiraz for Taltarni’s wine is sourced from a mature vineyard on the West side of Mount Camel, where the growing conditions are cooler, allowing the fruit to develop its immense flavour profile. An outstanding fruit bomb from Heathcote.
Spectacular colour showing that classic Heathcote opacity and saturation. Black purple, with purple hue. The colour clings to the wall of the glass paint like. Aroma of violet, blackberry juice, spice and cedar and again showing strong Heathcote Shiraz traits. Mouth filling palate ‘joosy’ blackberry juice, spice and liquorice allsorts. Fine grained tannins, excellent balance, followed by very long aftertaste of black pepper spice, vanilla and liquorice.
