The clones are right, but the structure is flawed. Clones, MV 6, 114, 15 and D5V112 have been uses for this wine, which was cropped at 2.25 tonne per acre. The grapes were fermented in small batches for 7 days at 30ºC and matured in 4 year old Troncais oak.
Translucent crimson colour with mauve hue. Aroma of spice, with a hint of game followed by strawberry and strawberry jam endnotes. The tannin structure is too dominant in this wine and over powers the fruit. There is no power wave and the strawberry, stewed fruit flavours struggle to emerge.
