Redesdale Estate is located in the Southern part of the Heathcote Wine Region. The vineyard was established in 1982 on the banks of the Campaspe River. The terrain is volcanic, with little top soil and deep sedimentary rock, which forces the vines to struggle for nutrients. Peter Williams and his wife Suzanne also provide accommodation on the vineyard in their charming cottage ‘Auberge de la Rose’ and if that’s not grand enough, you can book accommodation in their Tuscan Villa in Italy. A magnificent Heathcote Shiraz and a great follow on from the 2002.

Opaque black crimson colour with black crimson hue. Superb perfumed nose of violets, blackberry juice and spice followed by touch of new leather showing strong varietal character. The palate is explosive, concentrated and classic Heathcote. Flavours of liquorice allsorts, black cherry and black pepper encase the mouth. Excellent weight and depth. Very long aftertaste of spice, blackberry, plum, violet infusions and liquorice allsorts.
Cellar 4-5 years (2010-2011)
Alc/Vol: 14.5%
