2003 Primo Estate La Biondina Colombard

This wine is made from Colombard – a rather humble grape variety that JOE GRILLI has mastered. Drunk fresh, the wine delivers a wonderful array of aromatics. Brilliant pale straw colour. Lifted nose of ripe Jonathon apples and spice followed by a hint of tropical fruit and anise. The palate is very spicy with distinct spicy Jonathan apple and Granny Smith apple flavour over a layer of tropical fruit and kiwi fruit. Crisp acidity, followed by a long Jonathan apple spice and kiwi fruit aftertaste.
