Very deep crimson colour with deep crimson hue. Top notes of spice followed by blackberry and plum with mocha and coffee as an end note. The palate does not deliver on the ripe ‘joosy’ promise of the nose. Flavours of stewed plum, and sour cherry are followed by a white pepper and stewed plum back palate which runs into the aftertaste.

First tasted, October 2005:
Opaque crimson colour with deep crimson mauve hue. Lifted nose of liquorice, spice and blackberry. The palate is tightly knit, and rather short with plum and stewed fruit flavours evident. Fine chalky tannins. Plum, stewed fruit aftertaste.
