A magnificent, blockbuster Shiraz...

After 20 odd years of working for large corporations and achieving many accolades along the way, David O’Leary & Nick Walker felt they needed a new challenge, so in 2001 they decided to join forces and form their own winery – O’Leary Walker. Since the inaugural 2001 release, their Shiraz has been the star of the O’Leary Walker portfolio consistently delivering a decadently rich & flamboyant style of shiraz that super over delivers at it’s price point.

Tasting Notes: The 2003 is a superb follow up to the 2002 Shiraz, which combines successfully the different qualities of the two regions. Produced from 70% Clare Valley and 30% McLaren Vale fruit. Totally opaque black purple colour with deep crimson hue. Delightfully perfumed top note of violets, spice, blackberry, liquorice and vanilla followed by end notes of black & white pepper. The palate has the same generous weight and mouthfeel as the 2002. Mouthfilling flavours of liquorice, blackberry, black pepper and blood plum are overloaded by vanilla oak. Fine grained tannins, perfect balance with very long aftertaste of plum, liquorice all sorts, black pepper and vanilla. Fantastic bang for your buck!
