2003 Ingoldby Shiraz

A good follow up to the impressive 2002 Vintage. Very deep crimson colour with mauve hue. The nose displays good varietal character, with notes of vanilla, plum, spice and blackberry. The palate has good weight but without the voluptuous quality of the 2002. Flavours of ripe plum, blackberry, liquorice and liquorice allsorts over a spice and black pepper back palate. Excellent balance. Long aftertaste of plum and black pepper.
