The fruit for Meshach is hand picked from 100 year old vines delivering fruit of great concentration. The drier growing season in 2003 further concentrated the old vines fruit which was fermented to 1o beaume and then pressed off to complete fermentation in American and French Oak hogsheads.

A superb wine that reflects the year

Totally opaque black purple colour with black purple hue. Perfumed nose with top note of vanilla, followed by violet and a hint of liquorice. Mouthfilling palate showing a degree of elegance. Flavours of vanilla, spice and black pepper over a ripe plum background. The tannins are fine and perfectly balanced. Aftertaste of black pepper, vanilla, plum and spice.
