Galli Estate is one of the great post war migrant success stories which reflects the opportunity that Australia gave its new arrivals. Lorenzo Galli arrived from Tuscany in 1952, establishing Galli Constructions which by 1965 was recognised as one of Victoria’s leading road construction companies. Lorenzo was not content to just build roads; he diversified into quarries, concrete plants and property development. Given Lorenzo’s Italian background, and all the road making equipment he had at his disposal, it was only a matter of time before he planted his own vineyard. Today his wife Pam and a dedicated wine team continue to drive Lorenzo’s dream.

A generous red, which can draw some resemblance from Heathcote Shiraz. Totally opaque black crimson colour with black purple hue. Lifted perfumed nose of violet, blackberry, spice and black pepper. Generous palate flavours, very spicy, with white and black pepper flavours dominating the blackberry fruit. Fine grained tannins. Long blackberry and black and white pepper aftertaste.
Cellar 3-4 years (2009-2010)
