This is the biggest, blackest Pinot Noir that you’ve even seen – on first sight it could easily be mistaken for Shiraz. The wine is totally opaque black crimson colour with. There is a reluctant top note of dark cherry and spice followed by a hint of violet. On the palate some dark cherry and spice flavours emerge. The flavour profile just does not match the varietal characteristics of Pinot. White pepper and spice flavours emerge, again more Shiraz like than Pinot. Fine grained tannins. Spice and ripe plum aftertaste.
