Very deep crimson colour with deep crimson hue. Aroma of chocolate and blackcurrant followed by cedar and just a hint of cigar box. The palate flavours are generous and quite mouthfilling. There is a touch of vanilla oak over a layer of blackcurrant and spice. Fine grained, firmish tannins, excellent balance. Aftertaste of blackcurrant, cedar and spice.

Alc/Vol: 14.5%

Other Reviews…
Revealing slightly more oak as well as more rustic, noticeable tannin, the 2003 Cabernet Sauvignon Barossa does not possess the plushness and silkiness of the Friends, but it does offer good power and richness.
