“...strong varietal flavour with remarkable affordability.”

In a recent Pinot Noir tasting held at Cloudy Bay in New Zealand it became very clear that the ‘New World’ Pinots from the United States, New Zealand and Australia had surpassed their Burgundian counterparts from France. While magnificent Burgundies are still produced, finding them (and then paying for them) is a taxing experience indeed!
Coldstream Hills winemaker ANDREW FLEMING delivers strong varietal flavour with remarkable affordability. Tranluscent brick red colour, with brick red hue. Superb nose of leather, hints of game, strawberry jam and spice. The palate is velvet smooth with a creamy texture and long spicy, strawberry jam, cherry and game flavours. Excellent depth, followed by a very long aftertaste of leather, game and spice with the strawberry jam flavour persisting.
Cellar: 2-3 years. (2007-2008)
Alc/Vol: 14.0%
