ABV: 46%

Berry Brothers & Rudd, the UK's oldest wine merchant, continue to bottle some excellent spirits under their own label. This elegant, lighter styled rum, distilled in 2003, is from Grenada, 80 nautical miles north of the South American continent. Though there are only two licensed distilleries operating on the island today, there are a growing number of blenders practicing their trade with first class results. The Grenada Sugar Factory makes the most popular spirit on the island - Clarke's Court Pure White Rum.

Tasting note: Pale straw gold. Subdued. A little time in the glass teases out subtle notes of vanilla custard, brown sugar and dried banana, but the aroma remains shy even after several minutes exposure. A delicate entry leads into a middle weight, medium dry profile with a pleasant lightness offering subtle flavours of vanilla custard, creme caramel, dried banana and cinnamon. Concludes gently warming, with a mild dried fruit, cinnamon and caramel fade. Very attractive, femininely styled rum. 46% Alc./Vol.
