2003 Alta Semillon Sauvignon Blanc

Alta is produced by NEPENTHE VINEYARDS and delivers a superb flavour profile. Nepenthe takes its name from Homer’s "The Odyssey" and is described as an Egyptian herbal drink so powerful that it eases grief and banishes sorrow from the mind. We're confident a few glasses of this wine will have a similar effect.Bright waterlike colour. The nose is very lifted with intense aroma of tropical fruit, ripe passionfruit and gooseberries. The palate is mouthfilling, with flavours of ripe mandarin, peach, ripe passionfruit and tropical fruit. Excellent length and persistence. Crisp acid finish, followed by a very long aftertaste of mandarin, lemon and passionfruit.
