Light up the barbeque, bring on the company. Gourmet snags are called for. (If you’re holidaying or travelling through Daylesford in Victoria, call in to ‘Spa Centre Meats’ and stock up on some Bull & Boar Sausages – the ultimate snag!) The Three Brothers Shiraz delivers outstanding value for money and is a delight for everyday drinking. The winemakers that we have spoken to can not recall ever, we repeat the word ever, a vintage as good as 2002 in South Australia. This has been evidenced by the incredible depth of flavour experienced in the ‘entry level wines’ tasted so far. The Three Brothers Reunion Shiraz has been one such ‘freak’ discovery and we can only advise you to stock up as the wine is now close to sold out. Independent wine reveiwer “Winewise” recently acknowledged the amazing ‘bang for your buck’ which this wine delivers writing, "Talk about value! The 2002 Three Brothers Reunion Shiraz offers remarkable drinkability and complexity for very little money.” Bright crimson colour. Medium body. Aroma of spice, plum and stewed fruit followed by a liquorice end note. The palate has a velvet smooth texture with soft tannins and a degree of persistence on the aftertaste that is much more than expected at this price. Flavours of plum, spice and black pepper emerge and last well into the aftertaste.
