2002 Stefani Estate Shiraz

This is a big Heathcote red made by Mario Marson. The fruit was grown on the Springs Plains Vineyard and matured for 12 months in French oak.Opaque black crimson colour with paint like adhesive cling to the walls of the glass. Aroma of dark chocolate, mocha, cedar, spice and toasted oak. The palate has plenty of weight and the sort of density that one has come to associate with Heathcote. Generous flavours of dark chocolate, mocha, coffee and ripe plum, followed by spice, plum and dark chocolate back palate flavours. Warm, spicy aftertaste of spice, prune, mocha and dark chocolate.
