Under a new deal with the EEC the word Vintage Port is not permitted, and this wine is simply labelled as Fortified. The blend consists of Shiraz, Touriga, Nacional, Tinta Cao, Tinta Barroca and Tina Roriz. This Fortified, as might be expected from the grape composition, is inspired by the Vintage Ports of Portugal. It is much drier on the palate than might be expected from traditional Australian Vintage Port styles.

Black brick red colour with black brick red hue. Top note of raisins, followed by marzipan, liquorice and brandy spirit. The palate is a complex, yet a youthful blend of brandy spirit, spicy marzipan, liquorice and raisins. Fine dryish tannins. Quite dry taste sensation. Clean spirit. Warm spicy back palate.
