2002 Smith & Hooper Cabernet Sauvignon Merlot

Very deep crimson colour, with crimson mauve hue. The nose reveals a touch of cod liver, over a back ground of spice, liquorice and blackcurrant. On the palate flavours of liquorice, stewed plum and cedar are dominant, supported by a very dry tannin backbone. Aftertaste of stewed plums, liquorice and spice, with fine dry tannins persisting.
