This wine has been from dry grown 60 year old vines. Bright crimson mauve colour with purple hue. The nose displays intense, freshly crushed raspberry and dark cherry notes, showing strong varietal character. On the palate, the cherry, raspberry flavours emerge followed by a warm back palate however the flavour profile is quite short at this stage. Fine, firm, dry lingering tannins which are quite persistent on the aftertaste.
