2002 Preece Chardonnay

One of the driest summers on record. The drought, combined with poor fruitset post flowering due to unusually cool and windy weather during Spring,resulted in below average yields . Unusually the flavour ripening was quitelate and out of balance with sugar ripening. The resultant winesshowconcentrated flavours and great colour which balance the higher alcohols.

Pale yellow in colour the wine exhibits biscuity, lemon sherbet and melonaromas. A lively palate with intense flavours of nectarine, rockmelon andvanilla from barrel fermentation.
