2002 Penfolds Rawson's Retreat Merlot

The Rawson’s Retreat Merlot has been made with that very distinctive Rosemount Estate “micro-aerated” trademark and it could easily be mistaken for a Rosemount Merlot. Bright, crimson colour with crimson mauve hue. Medium body. The palate displays a youthful inky quality and is supported by flavours of spice, mulberry and liquorice. Soft tannin structure followed by an inky, spice and liquorice aftertaste. A well made early drinking quaffer.
