2002 Orlando St. Helga Riesling

Some winemakers will pick their grapes on Baume, that is the potential alcohol level, whereas others will pursue flavour ripeness by regularly tasting the berries and determining the time when the flavour profile is maximised. St. Helga Riesling is a result of such profiling and a great example of yet another outstanding Riesling from the 2002 vintage.

Brilliant pale straw colour. Lifted nose of lime, orange blossom and spice, followed by a hint of ripe pineapple. The palate is filled with flavour with perfect acid balance. Lime and lemon, orange blossom infusions and spice fill the palate, which extends into a very long aftertaste. Cellar 3-4 years (2006-2007)
