2002 Orlando Jacob's Creek Riesling

The grapes for the 2002 vintage Jacobs Creek Riesling were sourced predominantly from the cooler regions of Barossa Valley, Clare, McLaren Vale and Eden Valley. After careful selection by the Winemaker the grapes were harvested in the cool of the night and crushed immediately. The juice was drained quickly from the skins to retain the elegant fruit flavours. The juice was then clarified and fermented with a selected yeast strain at 12 to 15 degrees to enhance varietal fruit characters. Fermentation was stopped at a required residual level by chilling followed by a final clarificationbefore bottling.

Pale straw colour with vibrant green hues. Concentrated nose with ripe, lime citrus aromas with underlying floral nuances. Fresh palate displaying lemon, lime, citrus flavours with a crisp acid finish.
