Bright deep straw colour with pale straw hue. Aroma of butterscotch, yeast lees, cashew and biscuit. Creamy palate with again grapefruit and butterscotch flavours over a spicy oak background. Aftertaste of yeast lees and butterscotch. An obvious style.
Drink (2005)
Alc/Vol: 13.5%

First tasted, April 2004:
This wine relies heavily on a high toast oak aroma and flavour component that is excessive. Bright straw colour. Aroma of toasted oak, cinnamon and spice followed by biscuit and cashew end notes. On the palate, the fruit characteristics fall away leaving cinnamon, spice and toasted oak flavours dominant. There is a touch of yellow peach and lemon in the background.
