2002 O'Donohoe's Tom's Drop Mourvedre Shiraz

The vineyard is cropped exceptionally low for a Riverland vineyard with water-stressed yields at less than two tonnes per acre. Very deep crimson colour with deep crimson hue. Top notes of mocca and dark chocolate followed by spice and liquorice. The front of the palate displays some interesting flavour concentration – spiced, mixed berries over a layer of liquorice allsorts. Good palate weight with fine dry tannins followed by an aftertaste of mixed berries, spice and confectionary. Dry tannins persisting.
Cellar 2-3 years. (2005-2006)
