2002 Narkoojee Pinot Noir

An excellent Pinot from Harry Friend. Bright crimson mauve colour with mauve ruby hue. Medium body. The nose displays a stalky top note which is controlled, followed by notes of spice, cherry, strawberry and violets. There is no mistaking this variety. On the palate, flavours of stalk, spice and strawberry flavours are beautifully meshed and followed by a hint of ‘California Poppy’. Velvet smooth tannins followed by an exceptionally long cherry, stalk, strawberry and spice aftertaste.
