2002 Mount Burrumboot Estate Heathcote Merlot

Totally black purple colour with purple mauve hue. The nose is very opulent, with its intense aroma of spice, plum, liquorice and mulberry. The palate flavours are quite explosive and fill the mouth with inky layers of plum, spice and liquorice followed by further layers of vanilla and cedar. Excellent length with fine dry tannins and a very long aftertaste of liquorice, plum and mocca. A superb example and very reflective of the Heathcote terroir.
