2002 Moss Wood Ribbon Vale Vineyard Semillon Sauvignon Blanc

This wine comes from Keith Mugford’s Ribbon Vale Vineyard which he acquired in 2000. The wine consists of a blend of 54% Semillon and 46% Sauvignon Blanc. Bright straw colour. Ripe fruit aromas emerge from the wine with Graves like characters. Spice, confectionary musk, yeast lees. The palate echoes the nose with aromas of spice, anise and confectionary followed by grapefruit, citrus and a grassy end palate flavour. Crisp acid finish followed by a very long aftertaste of spice, gooseberry and confectionary.
