Whilst the wine originates from the Chablis region of France, its generous, full bodied character has more in common with the wines of Mersault in Burgundy. The grape variety is Chardonnay and like many of France’s wines the flavour profile tends to be drier than an Australian Chardonnay. Brilliant deep straw colour. The nose is lifted with notes of confectionary, pear and citrus followed by a hint of musk. The palate shows developed flavours with subtle musk, cashew, biscuit, confectionary and pear characters evident. Excellent length and depth, perfectly balanced with the acidity just right for the fruit. Long aftertaste of confectionary, musk and pear.
