2002 John's Blend Margarete's No. 8 Shiraz

This is a classic example of an old style Shiraz. Produced from a blend of 76% Langhorne Creek fruit and 24% McLaren Vale. Deep crimson colour with deep crimson hue. Medium body. Top note of dark chocolate, followed by vanilla and plum. End note of spice, violets and blackberry. The palate delivers flavours of vanilla, black pepper and spice overlaid with dark chocolate, earth and truffle. Fine grained tannins, excellent balance. Earth and truffle aftertaste.
